I am curious about something that I am guessing that some in this group would be able to help me with. Some 15 years ago I got a wild hair and subscribed to Spice Channel for an evening, and the cable company forgot to turn it off for the balance of the month. As a result, I got a pretty good idea what they offered. Most of what I saw had stuff like a sex scene developing, then as the time for the close up started, the camera would pan around the room and you would hear all the action. It got so ridiculous that my wife and I thought it was more funny than erotic. Essentially, the programming was hardly more than an “R” rating. It certainly was not worth paying the money.
When comparing Playboy with other magazines, such as Penthouse or Hustler, you find that Playboy is not really a sex related magazine. It is like they happen to include pictures of women that don’t have any closes on. They are rarely erotic. I have been told by someone that has seen their videos are about the same level. From that, I assume that their Playboy TV is about the same, or similar to my experience with Spice Channel.
I have occasionally been tempted to get some adult programming, but I don’t want to waste my money on something like that prior experience. I would be willing to pay occasionally if the content actually offered some sex and actually showed penetration, etc.
I have DirecTV satellite service, and they offer the following:
589 PBTV - Playboy TV
590 PBTV - Playboy TV
591 PBTV - Playboy TV
593 PPV - Pay Per View Information
594 CLPS - Ten Clips (up to 8 scenes from movies)
595 REAL - Reality like stuff, like Girls Gone Wild, I Guess
596 JUCY - Juicy
597 FRSH - Fresh
598 SEXX - Spice Xcess
599 HUST - Hustler TV
Do any of you have any experience with any of these channels as good or bad, or should I say worthwhile? I would like to hear opinions from both males and females.
