I still can’t believe I actually left the house the way I did. We’d been talking about it for weeks. Little dares over text, bf asking how I’d feel if someone saw.
I kept saying I was too shy. Saturday night he watched me get ready and just said, “Nothing under the dress tonight. I want to know you’re completely bare the whole time we’re out.”
I looked at the short blue slip hanging there, hesitated maybe ten seconds, and left my underwear on the bed.
The dress is that slinky spaghetti-strap kind that barely covers anything when you sit or when the air hits it. It looks cute until someone decides to lift the hem. Which is exactly what he started doing.
First it was in the parking garage. He walked behind me, hooked two fingers under the back of the dress and flipped it straight up. The cold air hit everything. No one was around except the cameras. I spun around to smack his hand, but my stomach had already tightened. I told myself it was just nerves.
At the restaurant he did it while I was standing at the host stand. A quick lift from behind while she looked at the tablet. The fabric rose and dropped in less than a second. My face went hot, but so did something lower. I pressed my thighs together when we sat down and hoped he wouldn’t notice.
Walking between places he kept finding reasons to get behind me. Crossing the street. Waiting at a light. Once when a group of people passed us he lifted it higher and held it for a few seconds. I could feel how little the dress actually covered. I whispered at him to stop, but my voice came out weaker than I meant it to. He squeezed my hip and said, “You’re doing so good.” I hated how much that made me throb.
The worst (or best) was outside the bar. A guy was smoking nearby. My boyfriend reached down, gathered the hem, and lifted the whole back of the dress up to my waist for a few long seconds while we “looked at the menu in the window.” I froze.
I didn’t even pull it down right away. The longer he held it, the more I felt myself getting wet. When I finally yanked the fabric back down, my hands were shaking and I was embarrassingly turned on.
He didn’t do anything else. No touching, no more than the lifting. Just making sure I knew anyone who glanced over could have seen everything. Every time he did it, the fear mixed with heat until I could barely think about anything else.
Then I admitted I was soaked the entire walk back to the car.
I keep replaying the moments. The air on my skin. How easy that dress made it for him. How I just stood there and let it happen, and how each lift made me want the next one more.
Part of me wants to tell him never again. The other part already knows I’ll wear the same dress next time if he asks.
