Hello,
Happy 2015 TODP-Peepers! A weird mix of pictures for you this time along with a question at the end.
First: Like most, had to put away the decorations from the holidays. I had to bid farewell to Christmas with one last little tribute to answer the question where I store my horns the rest of the year. Sorry for my supreme talent in artwork - maybe I'll stick with letting the real artists do their thing and I'll stay in front of the camera and off the paint program.
Second: One of these images should look familiar for anyone following my attempts at pretending to be an author as it's from the cover-shoot of my book. That's where the trench coat comes in - you know, secret agent stuff! (And before I get hate mail, the handgun's stock was _way_ too small for my grip, so please don't tell me I'm a danger to society - I'd never actually handle something not genuinely fitted to my hand (snerk - I just got the double meaning to that! Who says I never understand the jokes) . )
Lastly: Three images that deal with photo shoots - two showing what us women go through - what you see and what you don't see; plus a third where the photographer was getting his B&W/negative settings for a new outfit/jeans coat. But the real question I have mixes the topics of cover shoots and what's done to get them.
For my next book, the cover image is supposed to have me on it like the previous two, but also - quick break for me to hyperventilate - another person. Because the sketched ideas look really neat, I'm certainly interested to see the results... but the image needs a deep, rich contrasting skin tone to my skin color - and my significant doesn't cut it (he has some color, but certainly not deep enough for the effect seen on the interesting looking preliminary concept sketches).
So here's my question to all you women out there: have you ever been naked in front of another guy that's not your husband or boyfriend... with your guy there/knowing you were right there, in your all-together, in the same room with - hyperventilation break - a guy. What was it like? How did you handle it? How'd _he_ handle it? Was it weird or awkward?
If it helps you answer the question (and _please_ write me if you have any info on this - not that I'm a mess, but I AM a mess thinking about this!), the shoot is going to show my backside. I'm not wearing anything (not a big deal, done this before)... but I'm supposed to shoot with a male standing front of me with his hands on my back. Which means my _front_ will be (! Hyperventilate... pass the paperbag for me to breath into! ) facing HIM. (sorry - quick break so I can hyperventilate AND freak out over it). There's a chance he'll have to put his hands on my bottom as well, depending on how it's looking for the desired effect for the cover.
So I'm not talking about showing pictures of yourself to another person (er, uh, I do believe this TODP site sort of answers that question!) - but I'm talking about _IN-FREAKING-PERSON_ with you not wearing anything. Either touching or not touching the other person.
Before you ask if it's bothering my significant, the moron seems absurdly cool with it, rattling off all the reasons it's ok - including pro models pose with the opposite/same sex all the time - it's just another shoot... to _him_. To me? Holy sh!t! I'm supposed to be naked in front of someone else!
I'd appreciate any info folks have for me. I'll absolutely try to make it worth your while to take the time to write me (by the time this posts, I should have the preliminary / 'proof-of-concept' shots out - which are just me, no additional (deep breath) people in them) by sharing updates and such with you (it's only fair to see how this goes if you help me out).
Thanks again for putting up with all this writing (and yet more teasing pictures - I can already hear the butt people complaining (at least if they weren't so polite as to not complain). If all goes well with the prospective cover shoot, I should have some new bottom shots soon (that sounds so wrong, almost like 'body shots').
Happy New Year! (if I make it through this possible cover shoot!)
Hugs
PS Tossed a last second additional picture on here... don't forget which dressing room is yours if you pop out for better lighting and mirrors. Oops.
