She's Baaaack!
Okay, folks. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. A huge amount has happened since our trip to Tampa and you’ll get to hear some of those stories. But. The story is incomplete. Some…stuff… happened on our last full day there and while the people involved were originally okay with telling the story, for a lot of private reasons, they no longer are. Also, unfortunately, Jill and Kate are no longer “in the picture” so to speak although I still touch base with Kate every so often. She was the one who brokered the deal to let me post parts I-V of the MLK Weekend story. I still have some hopes that eventually the story of that Sunday can be told (truthfully Monday was boring as hell, good-byes and sleeping mostly,! we were beat!), but until everyone agrees, it’s best to keep it under wraps.
Also, given the way the story evolved and the fact that multiple people wrote it, I have decided to NOT go back and edit. The story that you’ll read was written right after the fact, so it doesn’t take into account the events referred to above.
So that does it for Tampa (I’ll be posting the actual story later). Things were fairly normal for a few weeks afterwards and we have a story or two from that time, then all hell broke loose. On a number of fronts. And the fun and games stopped for a few months. Recently, Lisa and I (with a little help from our friends) have begun restarting our wild & crazy ways. As I get time and energy, you’ll hear those stories too!
So, anyway, sorry for the long delay between stories, believe me it wasn’t much fun for me either. Thanks to all of you who checked in from time to time via email. Frankly, can’t promise that I’m going to reply to everyone individually (I will try), but I wanted to make sure you knew how much I appreciated it.
